Amine System Simulation 4200

Model Description

The TSC SIM 4200 Amine System models a Natural Gas sweetening system that can be used to remove the acidic components of Hydrogen Sulphide and Carbon Dioxide on and offshore.

The model contains a fully functional ESD (emergency shut-down) system including start-up overrides, inhibits, intertrips and executive action. The ESD is displayed within an industry standard type cause and effect matrix.

Natural Gas feedstock has adjustable CO2 content.

The model contains fully functional examples of amine absorption and amine regeneration columns with re-boilers and heat recovery systems.

The process streams have component analysis points so the effect of differing process conditions can be investigated and monitored.

All pump systems contain duty standby pumps for switch-over and stabilisation.

On a modern PC the model can run faster than real-time reducing the time spent waiting for things to happen.

The model can be fully shut-down and restarted and a black start (empty and nitrogen purged) second start is provided to allow start up training.
